Achieving bizSAFE Level 3 is a significant milestone for any company in Singapore. It demonstrates that your organization has established a robust Risk Management (RM) system that meets the requirements of the Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulations.
Step 1: bizSAFE Level 1 (Enterprise Exemplary)
The top management (CEO or equivalent) must attend a half-day bizSAFE Workshop for CEOs and Top Management. This workshop helps them understand their roles and responsibilities in cultivating a safe work culture.
Step 2: bizSAFE Level 2 (Risk Management Planning)
A nominated staff member (e.g., Risk Management Lead) must attend a 2-day Risk Management course. Here, they learn how to develop a Risk Management Plan that addresses all hazards in the workplace.
Step 3: bizSAFE Level 3 (Risk Management Implementation)
Your company must implement the Risk Management Plan developed in Level 2. Once implemented, an independent WSH Auditor must audit your system to ensure compliance. Upon successful audit, you can apply for bizSAFE Level 3 status through the WSH Council.
Why bizSAFE Level 3?
Many government and private sector tenders require bizSAFE Level 3 as a minimum entry requirement. It not only improves safety but also enhances your business's competitiveness in the market.
